Hi Everyone -
I am John Butler and this is my primary photo site. Most photographers are passionate about their work and I am no exception. I love to take photos and share them with you. I am drawn to the great outdoors and spend hours wandering and capturing images that are special and interesting. This is such great fun, being a part of a photographic community.

MUSHROOM WORLD : Mushrooms are actually funguses. They are unbelievably diverse in size, shape and function. Many mushrooms grow beneath the ground, then spring up in a matter of hours or days. Some are edible and others are extremely poisonous but all provide a vital service to our ecosystem. Many plants require the presence of these funguses in order to share nutrients and funguses are instrumental in the decomposition of dead trees and plants. Of course, many mushrooms have become essential parts of our daily cuisine. I think that you will enjoy taking a tour through these images.
